FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
The FAQ content on this page and much more are covered in CHH Rules and Regulations, which are read and agreed to by all CHH Players on entry to CHH events.

It means that Players should organise their matches according to the schedule, however players can then play any match out of order once those matches have been organised.
It does not mean CHH leagues are flexible whether you play or not, CHH matches are not optional.

The 'Home Player' is the first listed player in the match on the draw (usually on top).
Supply New Balls.
Organise/book a good quality court and pay for 2hrs Court Hire and guest fee (if applicable)
Can share Lights fees (separate to court hire) 50% with opponent but must communicate this when organising match.
Submit scores on Challonge after match.

You can be away for 13 days during a league due to injury or otherwise. If you are away for 2weeks or more you must contact CHH and withdraw from the scheduled matches in those weeks.
Failure to notify CHH will result in 'forfeit' instead of 'withdraw'.
Withdrawals DO NOT affect UTR ratings, whereas forfeits do.
If you know you'll be away in advance, please let your opponents for those scheduled matches know in advance out of courtesy so they can organise other matches.
During the finals knock-out stage if you are away for the week you will unfortunately have to withdraw.

There’s no difference to the above advice for being away due to illness/injury. If ACT Health COVID advice forces you off the court for 14days or more you must withdraw from those scheduled matches.

Depending on player numbers, the to 2-4 players in each group will advance to finals, however only if they've played >50% of their available and scheduled league matches (eg: 6 matches, play at least 4 to advance).

Nope, they are not.
If players/parents don’t get along with the CHH group, they won’t be welcome back. Be nice and report Jerks to CHH.
CHH maintains a positive learning/development environment, negative interactions between parents/guardian and their child during matches will be investigated.

FAQs for Off Court Stuff

Time limits: 1min30secs at change of ends | 2mins at set break | no sitting after 1st game of each set | one 5min bathroom break at end of 2nd set only.

Loud and clear.
Server calls game score at least once game score reaches 30 (eg: 30-0)
Server calls set score (eg: 4-1) before serving first ball of new game.
Clearly call balls ‘out’ or point a finger.
Be courteous for close 'in' calls or line calls, show a flat palm down or tap your racquet with your hand to let your opponent know it's in.

As of 17/9/22 there is NO COACHING allowed during CHH matches. Parents/Guardians are not be involved in the match especially for line calls, but can provide guidance on R&Rs to allow the players to come to a decision.

Report alleged cheating and poor behaviour (or Jerks) via CHH website online form.
Match disputes (including line call disputes) are covered by ‘TA’s rules without a Chair Umpire’

Matches are to be stopped if either player feels unsafe due to wet weather or lightening in the area.
Matches can be resumed within 2 weeks if they are called off due to weather (contact CHH if this happens) .
If sets are 1-1 and bad weather is inbound, players may choose to play a super tiebreak (first to 10) instead of a 3rd set (only due to bad weather).

Court bookings should be 2 hours minimum but sometimes they go overtime. If players are unable to move to a vacant court, players should finish their current game and send the incomplete match score to CHH (whatsapp 0474 228 745) and then organise a time within 2 week to complete the match.
