Canberra Heavy Hitters uses the online Challonge League Platform for CHH events.

All CHH players have agreed that they have read and will abide by CHH RULES AND REGULATIONS upon registration to CHH events. These R&Rs are policed and enforced. They exist to help CHH meet the CHH Mission, particularly to create a fair environment to as many players as possible. They are vital for the smooth running of a Flexible League.

WhatsApp is the communication app used for all CHH communication, including to organise league matches. Once registration has closed, players will be invited to the CHH LeagueGroup and the optional CHH Hit-ups/Practice Match Group. Players Contacts will be shared with their group using this app.


There are Juniors (Under18s) competing in CHH Events.

All Parents/Guardians must submit a CHH Under 18 Consent form (new Juniors only, only needs to be completed once).


CHH awards cash prizemoney for its 1st-3rd places in the Open(14+) Divisions which is electronically transferred following the event.


CHH has published a table which shows players how the leagues are organised depending on how many players register.

Round Robin and Finals draws are designed to give players as many matches as possible within 11 weeks before the next league commences.


Most Australian Tennis players will be very familiar with Tennis Australia’s Rules for Matches without a Chair Umpire. All CHH league matches are without officials and players agree to abide by these rules for all of their matches.

Reporting of bad or unsportsmanlike behaviour is recommended to help keep CHH a positive environment for competitive matches.


CHH does allow players to play in a higher division than their player rating however players must apply to the CHH for an exemption before registering. Players who sign up for events higher than their rating without an exemption will be immediately withdrawn.

CHH utilises the UT system (past results, trends, stats) as well as the Challonge rating system to make these decisions on a case-by-case basis.
